Tension Gas Struts
Tension Gas Springs, also known as Traction Gas Springs, operates in reverse of conventional compression gas springs. Rather than pushing the piston rod outward, the force of these gas springs pulls it inward. Since the piston stays in an unloaded condition inside the cylinder, when it is loaded and pulled out, the force will effort to retreat it into the cylinder.
These springs work in tension and they are ideal types for counterbalances and lifting applications. Excellent for using things like doors, hatches, lids which need to stay shut. They are also efficient for applications where standard gas springs cannot be utilised due to lack of the space.
These gas springs are supplied with a valve to release the gas and lower the pressure. You will need an Allen key to release the gas.
