When replacing struts that you currently have, you would need the original part number that can be found on the body of the gas struts. This can help us to locate the correct replacement for your application. The second option would be length of the struts from centre to centre of the end fitting as well as the force rating.  Lastly, the type of ending you would need to fit your application would include the dimensions such as thread type, lengths and compatibility. How do I measure a gas strut for replacement?
Simply measure the length from the centre of the end fitting to the centre of the other end.
The most common mistake is measuring the entire length which will give you a slightly longer gas strut.
